I have over 15 years of experience using energy work to help all kinds of things.

Hi I am Darren a tai chi instructor from Guildford welcome to the family… I have been training in tai chi and qigong since 1995 in Surrey, I have trained with a few masters over the years including some of the best in the world who trained with the Chen family, Grand Master Wang Hai Jun I was with for over 9 years, I trained with Master Ou Hai Bing for over 5 years in China and currently practice with Sifu Howard Wang on his Prana Dynamics master programme and with Master Liang de Hua who is teaching me Yang style and Neigong practices.

The method is to practice slowly to unify all parts of your body, to adhere to the principles of tai chi by which the masters perfected their practice over the centuries. I will guide you through my experience, knowledge, dedication and hands on work that is tried and tested by my ongoing students who dedicate weekly practice to tai chi and qigong. Tai chi and qigong has been recommended by most health care professionals for a variety of reasons and helps health challenges.

I would highly recommend only practicing tai chi, neigong and qigong with me as your instructor in Surrey and not trying to learn online or from a book. You cannot develop the internal skill by simply copying from a screen, tai chi needs proper instruction, I can help you develop willpower, feel inside your physical structure, know what you are looking for feeling wise, I am unique in that i can help open this feeling side to your being and my tai chi works. So with my experience I can help you to reduce stress, any mental health issues or even help open joints and connective tissue needed to be able to do tai chi properly! with my understanding of the internal concept of tai chi aspect you will develop in the right way.

Tai chi is as deep as an ocean and as tall as a mountain containing the wisdom of our ancestors.

My Tai chi is varied and spans a total of over 22 years, during which time I learned Yang, Chen, Sun, and Hun yuan from a few different teachers, including the traditional family linage holders as well as some specialized teachers solely based in China that share their secrets with inner door disciples only. Tai Chi has so many variations and everyone teaches it differently. Tai chi and qigong has so many different layers that it takes time to learn the initial frame or choreography but will greatly benefit the health of the human body. Learn all about body alignment, internal body awareness that we all should be conscious with its a skill that is seldom taught in the West but in the East is taught from a young age.

To be honest it’s hard to describe tai chi and qigong it’s not really something that can be watched or observed. It must be practised over time to be understood, Tai chi is as deep as an ocean and as tall as a mountain containing the wisdom of our ancestors. Deeply transformative tai chi and qigong have been practiced for thousands of years.

Here is the brief science part or ancient wisdom, I talk in terms of energy which is in constantly changing our primary sources are usually food and air, energy is the absolute basis for all forms of life and matter in the universe. Our body runs on vibrational essence or electromagnetism. electromagnetism is a force which most of us are not yet familiar it was Western science that verified its existence, giving a logical explanation for health enhancing benefits seen through internal exercises such as tai chi, Yiquan and qigong practice. Electromagnetism is a intrinsic force permeating the atomic structures of all objects, including the atmosphere.

it is a Natural force and as such is married closely with the energy in the body, this needs replenishing to create harmony within your body. In ancient times the body was described as a battery and was composed of three parts. Structure: cells, organs, bones, muscles, skin layers, blood vessels, nerves and the many physical structures they form, Liquid: the intra and inter cellular liquids that play essential roles in the generation of electrical energy and lastly Electrical charge: This is the charge responsible for firing or activating the body and animating its structures. It is called “Life Force”, Life Energy, Spirit or Electromagnetism the ancient Chinese refer to this force as “Chi” or Qi. This is the least understood area of study; you cannot measure energy/Chi by any equipment. It can only be experienced through our feeling senses.

I happily share my knowledge freely with my students so they to can learn tai chi, its intricacies and principles in experience based practice with me and each other.
